Our DevX Engineers are at the heart of our work, providing best-practice software delivery techniques to our clients product teams to ensure they can quickly ship and operate with confidence.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevX Engineer based in Europe to join our team on a contract basis.

This contract might be for you if:
- You have some solid years of experience working with the AWS Cloud, specifically the DevOps tooling and infrastructure as code techniques.
- You have experience working with teams who developed and frequently shipped with NodeJS (additionally Python a plus) on the AWS Cloud.
- You have at least one AWS certification (professional level desirable) and hold many years of practical hands-on experience.
- You have a strong passion for the AWS Cloud and Serverless technologies.
- You have some experience working with Serverless technologies.
- You want to work with strong technologists with many years of experience building scalable distributed systems with a DevOps mindset.
- You're eager to learn and grow as a technologist, engineer and communicator.
- You enjoy working with distributed teams both directly and asynchronously.
- You're not afraid to show off your work.
- You have good communication skills.
- You have some team leadership experience or are an aspiring leader (this is not a team lead role, but leadership skills desirable).
- You enjoy working with people from a diverse array of backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Work with our clients to understand their business goals and create software delivery solutions that help them achieve success
- Use your expertise in AWS, Serverless and NodeJS to design, implement and test new systems, architectures or features.
- Create and maintain technical documentation on build and deployment processes.
- Develop reusable and modular scripts to improve code maintainability.
- Use traditional development practices while working within Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.
- Collaborate with other developers and architects to implement scalable and efficient systems.
- Stay current with new and emerging AWS technologies and trends.

Requirements
- Proficient in implementing AWS DevOps, Platform Engineering practices.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience working as a NodeJS engineer in an AWS environment.
- Strong proficiency in NodeJS and JavaScript.
- Experience with AWS serverless components including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Event Bridge, SNS, SQS.
- Experience working with Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience implementing RESTful APIs.
- Experience with Git.
- Experience working in Agile teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to help teams understand technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Benefits
Daily rate - €230-€450 p/d - dependent on experience and location.
