This Intern position will be part of DNV’s Digital Solutions Electric Grid team. The position will be a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from the Corvallis, Oregon office which creates and supports software for electric utilities.  Further details regarding role-specific requirements will be shared during the interview process.  As a summer intern, you'll help keep the lights on while learning a lot.  Join us on our journey to making world class software.

What You'll Do

DNV is seeking a summer intern to help convert our legacy automated tests to a modern platform.  The focus will be on writing code in Typescript, but tasks will vary, providing exposure to computer security, leveraging the cloud, and using AI to accelerate development, just to name a few.  It's a small team where everyone's contribution matters.

What is Required

  • Strong programming skills, preferably in TypeScript.
  • Readiness to learn and be curious.
  • Ability and willingness to work in-person in Corvallis, Oregon on a Hybrid Schedule 
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills 
  • We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening

What is Preferred 

Experience with any of the following:

  • Git or other source control
  • Cypress, Playwright or other test automation library
  • SQL
  • Visual Studio Code or other IDE
  • Software testing
  • Basic web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
