  • highly skilled and experienced Lead 2D JavaScript Game Developer to
    join our team.
  • As the Lead, you will not only be responsible for developing interactive and
    engaging games using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 but also for leading and collaborating
    with other team members and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about
    game development has a strong background in mathematics for collision detection and
    velocity physics, and has experience in leading game development projects.
    Responsibilities:
    1. Lead the game development team:
    o Provide technical leadership and guidance to the game development team.
    o Collaborate with artists, designers, and other developers to define game
    mechanics, features, and project requirements.
    o Mentor and provide support to junior developers, conducting code reviews and
    providing constructive feedback.
    o Coordinate tasks and ensure timely delivery of high-quality game projects.
    o Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment within the team.
    2. Develop interactive and engaging games:
    o Utilize JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 to develop games with high
    interactivity and engagement.
    o Implement mathematics algorithms for collision detection, physics
    simulations, and other game mechanics.
    o Optimize game performance for different platforms and devices.
    o Stay up-to-date with emerging game development technologies and
    techniques, and research and implement them as appropriate.
    o Integrate game environments with back-end systems and APIs (nice-to-have).
    3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams:
    o Work closely with artists, designers, and other developers to create visually
    appealing game assets and graphics.
    o Coordinate with back-end developers to integrate game functionality with
    server-side systems.
    o Collaborate with QA/testers to ensure high-quality game performance and
    resolve any issues.

    4. Ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards:
    o Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in game
    development.
    o Apply software engineering principles and design patterns in game
    development.
    o Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development
    workflows.
    o Apply strong problem-solving and debugging skills to identify and resolve
    issues.
    Requirements:
    1. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field.
    2. Relevant coursework in Mathematics for Game Developers and Physics for Game
    Developers.

    3. Minimum of 6 years of experience as a JavaScript Game Developer or similar role,
    with demonstrated experience in leading game development projects.
    4. Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Phaser and CreateJS - MUST HAVE
  • 5. Strong understanding of game development principles, best practices, and
    mathematics for game development, including collision detection algorithms, physics
    simulations for velocity and motion, vector and matrix operations, and trigonometry
    and calculus for game mechanics.
    6. Experience with game engines/frameworks such as Phaser, CreateJS, or similar.
    7. Good understanding of CSS3 and JS Animation frameworks like GreenSock
    Animation Platform (GSAP) or Anime.js to support 2D game development - GOOD TO HAVE
    8. Knowledge of software engineering principles and design patterns.
    9. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development
    workflows.
    10. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
    11. Effective communication and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
