ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Lead Mobile Developer role is responsible for leading a team of developers to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain applications for proprietary/licensable mobile devices and platforms. The role requires strong collaboration with product managers and project managers to determine the application requirements, create appropriate timelines, and ensure project execution aligns with stakeholders' expectations. The incumbent must possess strategic thinking, management skills, and expertise in integrated development platforms and programming languages relevant to mobile development to lead the team in creating and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for iOS, Android, and other mobile platforms. Ultimately, the role will specialize in leading software applications development for proprietary/licensable mobile devices and platforms.
WHAT THE ROLE WILL DO:
Collaborate with analysts, product managers, developers and project managers to communicate the technical specifications, capabilities, and limits for custom mobile applications
Lead the planning, design, development, and testing of the mobile infrastructure that supports applications, data flow and users and delegate tasks to junior team members as needed
Devise strategies to plan, design, develop and test mobile applications for Android, iOS and other mobile platforms, providing guidance to the team as needed
Review and optimize the design and code of mobile applications by leveraging expertise of mobile platforms, cross-platform development tools, and APIs
Ensure mobile application security through effective managing of mobile data management and enforcing best practices
Establish a strategic approach to ensure timely fixes for bugs and upgrades to new versions

This position has a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office and the option for working remotely two days.

Education
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or in lieu of a degree, at least 9 years of experience in mobile application development or software development
Preferred
Xamarin Certified Developer
Skills and Experience
6-8 years of experience in mobile development
Proven experience with integrated development platforms (Xamarin, Kony, Appcelerator, EMM/MDM, iOS SDK, Android SDK, etc.)
Extensive knowledge of mobile security and mobile development best practices
Expertise in mobile data management
Ability to lead and guide a collaborative development team
Preferred
Proven experience with integrated development platforms (ReactNative, Kotlin, SwiftUI, iOS SDK, Android SDK, Java, Javascript, Xcode, Android Studio, etc.)
MACH architecture, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
Experience participating in technical leadership committees, representing mobile teams in setting the technical direction and standards across an organization, along with providing technical leadership in designing solutions, mentoring other developers, providing code, and design reviews
