The React Native Developer will be based from any of our UK offices in a hybrid working pattern. 

The React Native Lead Developer will join our dynamic product team, working on cutting-edge mobile applications. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the technical approach from the ground up, driving best practices and mentoring the team to deliver high-quality mobile experiences.

As a Lead React Native Developer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead technical direction for React Native mobile apps, setting up development practices from scratch.

  • Act as a hands-on engineer and technical consultant, guiding the client and team in React Native best practices and architecture.

  • Utilise open source frameworks to streamline development and deployment processes.

  • Implement Domain Driven Design (DDD) principles to ensure robust and scalable application structure.

  • Support the selection of and integration of UI Component Libraries as appropriate for the project.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary product squad consisting of designers, developers, and product managers.

  • Design and maintain design systems, component libraries, and tools to ensure consistency and reusability.

  • Ensure adherence to accessibility and UX best practices for a seamless user experience.

Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Strong commercial React Native skills and experience, with a solid background delivering apps for mobile platforms.

  • Strong experience using Expo framework and Expo services.

  • Strong experience with Component libraries, including but not limited to Tamagui, NativeWind, StyleX and others

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and related front-end technologies.

  • Experience with RESTful APIs and integration.

  • Comfortable working with changing requirements in a complex environment. 

  • Ability to guide and mentor delivery teams and senior stakeholders. 

  • Demonstrated experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD).

  • Awareness of UX principles and accessibility.
