The opportunity!As a Mobile App Developer at Protecht Group, you will help support and develop new functionality for our ERM (Enterprise Risk Management), mobile application. Located in our central Sydney office and reporting to the Team Lead, you will be part of a small team that strives to implement best practices for development, testing and agile project delivery. Mentoring and a structured approach to learning are provided to grow your skills and experience.
Typically, you will:
- Develop, test and maintain high-quality, performant, and scalable mobile applications using React Native for iOS and Android.
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, QA testers and other developers to define, design, and ship new features.
- Set up and track key releases and sprints using an Agile Scrum methodology
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
- Optimize application performance and user experience.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in mobile development, particularly in the React Native ecosystem.
- Contribute to improving our development processes and best practices.
- Integrate with backend APIs and third-party services.
- Work with native modules when necessary.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design.
You’ll be a great fit if you have:- Relevant tertiary qualification such as a degree in computer science or information systems
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in developing mobile applications with React Native.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript, including ES6+ syntax and asynchronous programming.
- Solid understanding of React fundamentals and component lifecycle.
- Experience with state management libraries like Redux, MobX, or Context API.
- Experience with native mobile development (iOS or Android)
- Experience with testing frameworks like Jest or Detox.
- Experience with Git version control system
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with performance optimization techniques for mobile applications.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with native modules and bridging between JavaScript and native code.
- Experience with RTK Query.
- Experience with publishing apps to the App Store and Google Play Store.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps.
Some ‘nice to haves’- Experience with GXT or GWT Java framework
- Experience with test driven development
- Experience using the Robot automation framework or other similar tools
- Experience using JIRA and Confluence
- Experience with Inetsoft or other BI tools
