This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

As a React Native Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing front-end applications that deliver seamless user experiences. You'll work closely with backend engineers to build scalable, maintainable, reusable, and testable applications. Your role will involve implementing best practices, pushing technological boundaries, and contributing to architecture decisions to ensure high performance and usability.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with the team to discuss application features and UI/UX design.
• Research industry trends and best practices to enhance user interface development.
• Develop and implement React Native applications for mobile platforms and React.js applications for web.
• Propose and implement new technologies and proof-of-concepts (PoCs).
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability challenges.
• Advocate for modern open-source tools/frameworks and share knowledge within the team.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Conduct live tests, gather feedback, and make necessary enhancements.
• Continuously update applications in response to user trends and emerging technologies.

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of experience as a UI/Front-end Engineer.
• Strong expertise in React Native, React.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Solid understanding of React Native for mobile development (iOS & Android).
• Experience with Next.js and TypeScript.
• Knowledge of user interface models, application design, and web performance optimization.
• Ability to create self-contained, reusable, and testable components.
• Strong grasp of web performance, accessibility, and responsive design.
• Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM methodologies and best software development practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field.
• Bonus: Experience with iOS development is a plus.
