About the role
We’re looking for a strong engineer who is enthusiastic about mobile technologies and innovating on the future of our mobile apps! As an engineer on the Mobile Foundation team, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to simplify how teams build our app for the highest quality, velocity, and member experience.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $125,640 up to $174,500. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. In this role, you can expect to
- Stay up-to-date with React Native developments and best practices
- Deliver the best developer experience for Chime product engineers
- Optimize our app’s quality, observability and performance
- Improve our mobile release process, shipping high quality app updates to members quickly
- Work across the stack (React Native, Native iOS/Android, GraphQL API, CI/Build systems)
- Partner with Chime product and infrastructure teams to identify and build improvements to the mobile platform’s capabilities and frameworks
- Support teammates by participating actively in technical design, code reviews and architecture decisions
To thrive in this role, you have
- A minimum of 2 years experience in frontend development, with expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript/React Native (Bonus: native iOS or Android experience, React, Redux, GraphQL, Jest)
- Experience collaborating well with team members
- Understanding of architectural patterns of large production services built for scale. Ability to safely make changes without disrupting and introducing regressions to millions of users.
- A passion for learning and sharing knowledge alongside teammates, with self-motivation and keen attention to detail
- A strong empathy for the users of the products you create
