Join our dynamic Stores Technology team at Kmart Australia, where innovation meets retail excellence. As a Senior Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the future of our Stores technology. Our team is dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of our hand-held devices, optimizing inventory management, and creating seamless experiences for both customers and staff.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Designing and implementing robust, scalable backend solutions using Node.js and Spring Boot to enhance the functionality of our digital stores.
- Leveraging your proficiency in React to contribute to the development of user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces.
- Utilizing your expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS to build, deploy, and maintain scalable applications that drive efficiency and innovation within our Stores Technology landscape.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, provide technical guidance, and contribute to the overall success of digital store initiatives.
- Identifying and troubleshooting complex technical issues, implementing effective and sustainable solutions to enhance system performance.
- Staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices, actively contributing insights to enhance the overall technology roadmap.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have the Following:
- Strong backend development experience with Node.js and Spring Boot.
- Expertise in TypeScript, and AWS to build and maintain scalable applications.
- Proven track record in architecting and developing robust technology solutions within a retail or similar industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A passion for innovation and a commitment to staying at the forefront of technology trends.
- Proficiency in React good-to-have, but not essential.
