Get to Know the Opportunity:   

Voya Financial is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Full-stack Developer to join our Retirement Technology team in New York City. In this role, you will support and improve business processes through information technology solutions. You will be responsible for developing, designing, and analyzing applications and programs of moderate scope and complexity, tackling complex and difficult problems using your analytical skills to develop and code solutions.

Please Note: This position has been designated as a hybrid-office/remote role. (MUST be in the NYC office - Cortland St. - 3 days per week).

The Contributions You’ll Make:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced professional to join Voya’ Retirement Technology team in New York City. The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of experience working on a variety of custom projects and work well in a team environment. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to learn new emerging technologies and take initiative to offer technical direction and creative solutions.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:  

  • 5+ years’ experience in developing web application.
  • Work closely with fellow developers, project leads and QA in coordinating tasks & deliverables.
  • Participate in peer code reviews.
  • Experience in Angular and Object-Oriented JavaScript.
  • Strong knowledge of Angular 14+ and above, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap 5.
  • Strong knowledge of Visual Studio 2022 and source code management tools (TFS).
  • Understanding of ASP.NET MVC, MVC5, WebAPI, Entity Framework, LINQ, and C#.
  • Strong debugging skills.
  • 2+ years in SSRS, SSIS, SQL DBA, MS SQL Server DBA skills
  • Knowledge in material design, knowledge of Angular Materials a plus.
  • Ability to write clear and efficient code, this is a 100% coding position.
  • Experience with unit tests, user interface test and agile software development life cycle.
  • Possess firm knowledge of cross-browser compatibility standards and behaviors.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team and as an individual contributor.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must have public domain website experience.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

  • Knowledge of material design and Angular Materials is a plus.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
