What you’ll do As a Senior Front-end Engineer:

You’ll be responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle including but not limited to:

  • Designing and developing complex technical solutions based on specific business requirements that comply with applicable regulations and maintain data security, privacy and integrity based on industry best practices
  • Working closely with product and UX/UI designers to deliver the best possible user experience for our customers
  • Evaluating future design and architectural decisions as well as promoting new tech solutions, tools and frameworks with evidence of the benefits for the business / software / team
  • Owning the front-end services end-to-end. You will be responsible for overall reliability, ensuring that the critical parts of the system are well monitored, that actionable alerting is in place to prevent outages and proactively fixing production issues
  • Understanding the business needs and providing accurate estimates or forecasts of the effort needed to complete the tasks
  • Providing risk analysis and proactively flagging early potential bottlenecks
  • Senior Engineers are also expected to work well in self-organising teams, to coach and mentor more junior developers and to be an advocate for engineering best practices.

Requirements

Company tech stack: Angular 15+, Typescript, HTML5, JSON, Kubernetes, Terraform, Java 17 (and above), Spring Framework & Spring Boot 3, SCSS, React and Next.js, JSX, SQL and NoSQL database knowledge (MySQL is preferable), Git, AWS (lambda, queues, event streams, S3 etc), Docker, testing frameworks / libraries, Linux

  • Strong experience with Angular, ideally versions 15+ (but not mandatory)
  • Knowledge of Node.js, object oriented programming, scripting languages and or backend frameworks or languages is a plus
  • Previous experience and solid understanding of responsive design and comfortable developing websites for different screen sizes and device types (mobile, tablet, desktop)
  • Comfortable working with cloud solutions, including but not limited to AWS services and tools, understanding the infrastructure and architecture of the system
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (both Scrum framework & Kanban), use of CI/CD pipelines, quality first mindset (TDD / BDD, test automation) and familiarity with A/B testing and experiments
  • Solid understanding of web technologies and development
  • An innovative approach and promoting new tech solutions
  • Ability to communicate technical solutions in an effective and well-structured way to a non-technical audience
