The Role

You will join an extension team of our client - Capital Union Bank (CUB).

CUB is an independent financial institution, incorporated and headquartered in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. CUB was founded in 2013 by a group of renowned financiers and entrepreneurs who have dedicated their careers to providing first- class, innovative solutions to the capital markets and wealth management industry.

As a Senior Front-End Engineer (React & React Native), you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams of bank specialists and fellow engineers to design, develop, and deliver user interfaces and components across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• You will help shape and uphold CUB’s high-quality engineering practices, including writing clean, maintainable code and embracing agile methodologies to deliver business value.
• You will be part of an elite software engineering team dedicated to delivering cutting-edge products that meet our vision for state-of-the-art financial technology solutions.
• You will lead on React Native for developing mobile applications (Android & iOS), including responsibility for delivering these apps to the respective app stores, and actively support the web versions built with ReactJS.
• You will play a critical role in the technical design of features, contributing to new architectural solutions and product roadmaps.
• You will champion continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
• You will collaborate in an ambitious, dynamic environment that embraces the latest tools, technologies, and development practices.
• You will serve as a consultant on best engineering practices and quality standards, fostering an environment of continual learning and improvement

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in software development, with demonstrable expertise in front-end technologies.
• 2+ years of in-depth experience with React Native, ideally in a senior or leadership capacity.
• A deep understanding of React and its core principles, with proven experience in designing and implementing ReactJS solutions.
• A strong educational background (Certificate, Diploma, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, or equivalent) in a relevant field.
• An open-minded approach to technology and platforms, always curious and eager to learn about emerging trends.
• Passionate about software engineering and committed to best practices such as clean code, code reviews, and test automation.
• Enthusiastic about building both web and mobile applications using ReactJS/React Native.
• Experience working with automated deployment pipelines, ensuring smooth and reliable software releases.
• A good understanding of agile methodologies, thriving in a collaborative environment.
• A continuous improvement mindset, proactively driving positive change and inspiring peers to do the same.
• Strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
