Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.

• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.

• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.

• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.

• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.

• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

To be successful as a Senior Front End UI Developer (Angular) you should have experience with:

• Hands-on experience on UI development and creating high-performing, responsive, and interactive web applications.

• Experience on Angular 14+, Bootstrap, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, NodeJS.

• Understanding of Micro frontend framework.

• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Github, Bitbucket, Storybook.

• Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills. Identify issues with front end code and rectify them to remove bugs.

• Strong knowledge in version control using GIT.

• Understanding of deployment process Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery concepts (CI / CD) and also should be aware of CI tools like Jenkins/Bamboo, etc.

• Write unit test cases for UI application using Karma Jasmine. Automate unit tests to ensure code is functioning as expected.

• Good experience with Agile methodologies.

• Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work you do.

• Working with Team Leads to deliver high availability and performance aspects of application.

• Raising the RAIDs at appropriate level and following to closure

• Participate in retrospective analysis at the end of the project and build plan of actions for future improvements.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with business and technology stakeholders.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Prior Payments/Banking domain experience. Experience in a similar role would be advantageous.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience working with NodeJS, Nginx or Apache servers with a background in Linux.

• Experience with UI Code Quality / Sonar, React JS, Angular material, Browser and Media compatibility is nice to have.

• Experience to closely control and monitor the plan, review and take corrective measures.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
