Role/Department Description:
Application Infrastructure is looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to help drive FactSet’s Digital Transformation by designing and creating foundational components for the API program and creating a unified experience across all FactSet's public sites. With a goal of creating hundreds of APIs over the next few years, FactSet’s Digital Transformation is a critical initiative to ensure FactSet remains competitive while also providing significant technical challenges. In this highly visible role, you’ll have an organization-wide impact and play a key part in transforming how FactSet does business.
Responsibilities of the team include designing and developing FactSet’s Developer Portal. The wide reach of the Digital Transformation initiative means you’ll tackle a diverse set of challenging problems while collaborating with nearly all engineering groups at FactSet, from infrastructure to product.
Job Responsibilities:
Mentor others on best practices and effectively share knowledge.
Collaborate with Product Development to create features and prioritize tasks.
Design, develop, and maintain the Developer Portal.
Create standards and provide guidance on developing consistent RESTful APIs.
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
Job Requirements:
B.E/B.Tech or higher degree in computer science from a reputed college/university
5+ years with full stack development experience (HTML/JavaScript/Vue or Angular(js) or React.js /TypeScript/CSS/Node.js)
Design experience with multi-tier web applications
Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Strong experience with JIRA and Git
Passion for software engineering and follow the best coding standards.
Highly Desired:
Experience in an Agile development environment
Experience writing highly available, scalable, services in a production environment
Familiarity with Headless CMS like contentful
Proficient in Typescript, NodeJS.
