Department Brief:
Realtime Marketdata Engineering is responsible for integration of all real time or intraday content at FactSet. This includes real time stock exchange feeds as well as real time news headline / document feeds. This data is delivered to our clients for use within the FactSet Workstation or other internal applications. Realtime Marketdata Engineering has a global presence across multiple regions. 
 

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of automation frameworks and strategies for infrastructure provisioning, application deployments, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Utilize IaC tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, or Ansible to automate the provisioning and management of cloud-based infrastructure.
• Implement automated monitoring and alerting systems to ensure system health, performance, and availability, proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues.
• Communicate and collaborate with PD, QA, API users and other stake holders to streamline release processes, manage infrastructure changes, and automate operational tasks.
• Work independently and deliver in a deadline focused environment
• Take up weekly onCall responsibilities on a rotational basis
• Document automation procedures, best practices, and troubleshooting guides. Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge to foster a culture of automation and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack web development with proficiency in both frontend and backend technologies.

• Strong experience with JS, HTML5, CSS3, and modern web frameworks like Vue, React, Angular, etc. (preferably Vue).

• 1+ year of experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure roles is must.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, including the use of automation tools like Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, etc.
• Good scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Shell, Ruby).
• Solid understanding of version control systems (Git, GitLab, etc.) and experience with branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews in a CI/CD context.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a real-time, 24/7 production environment
• Comfortable working with geographically diverse team
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/ME in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed college/university.
