Our data forms the basis for crucial decisions made by the largest entertainment companies, both nationally and globally. We create the official music charts in 10 countries and present the German No. 1 Music Award. We compile top lists for all major gaming platforms, and we are active in the video streaming and book markets. And at the earliest opportunity, we are looking for you, a Software Engineer. Help us design, develop and improve our Entertainment web-based analytic tools and applications. You will be creative, analytical and data driven in your role, working as part of a cross functional Specialist Departments, Datawarehouse, Software Engineering & Site Reliability Engineering teams.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have following key accountabilities:

  • Client-centric software development, focusing on quality every step of the way with a keen eye for design and user experience
  • Provide guidance on technology, library and tooling choices to the team
  • Avoid scope-creep, over-engineering, under-testing and technical debt
  • Learning our business domains
  • Using good software engineering principles and best practices to solve business problems
  • Intra-team and Cross-team collaboration with Product Managers, Data Engineers, Software Engineers and Site Reliability Engineers
  • The primary focus will be on building robust and scalable applications, with experience in UI/UX design considered a valuable asset

Qualifications

  •  5 years+ in Full-stack web development
  • 5 years+ in Node.js
  • 5 years+ in frontend frameworks
  • Cross-team collaboration in large organisations and Agile Methodology experience
  • Willingness to use the appropriate tool for the job, not just the latest "hot" technology
