Our first product is flowkey: a revolutionary app for learning to play the piano. After our launch in 2015, flowkey quickly became one of the global leaders in its category, with more than 5 million users from over 100 countries. Your role and responsibilities

As a React Native Software Engineer at flowkey, you will work alongside our world-class team on a diverse, modern tech stack. Together, we will create a wide-reaching impact throughout our organization and for millions of users around the world.

You will play a key role in our mobile development team, contributing to the enhancement and optimization of our iOS and Android apps. Your solid understanding of React Native will enable you to implement not only user-facing features but also to improve developer experience.

Requirements

Must-have

• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Enthusiasm for UX and DX
• Understanding of how cloud architecture, mobile clients, and networking play together in an efficient way at global scale
• Experience building React Native modules in native code
• In-depth knowledge and a keen interest in either the iOS or Android platform

Nice-to-have

• C++, JSI, and the “New React Native Architecture”
• Knowledge of multiple native technologies (Swift and Kotlin are preferred)
• Performance profiling and optimization for native apps
• Passion for music
• Active interest in contributing to open source

Experience in any particular technology or process is far less important to us than the ability to learn quickly, turn ideas into solid code, and easily ramp up in new areas.
