Security Engineering at Akamai, part of the Infrastructure Security group, develops and delivers security products in collaboration with internal teams, external customers, and partners, including business development, engineering, product management, and support.

As a Senior Software Engineer (UI), you will be responsible for

• Developing and maintaining frontend software for interacting with Akamai's Infrastructure Security products.
• Working collaboratively with software engineers to ensure the smooth execution of UI features and product enhancements.
• Providing input and participating in design discussions, code reviews, and development planning.
• Assisting in defining and implementing UI development best practices to ensure high-quality frontend code.
• Troubleshooting and optimizing UI performance to ensure the best user experience.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Be proficient with HTML5, CSS3, and client-side JavaScript.
• Have hands-on experience building web applications using Angular (v13 or higher).
• Have experience with preprocessors and transpilers (such as Less for CSS, Babel for JS).
• Be comfortable with asynchronous programming, its challenges, and solutions.
• Possess strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
