Our challenge

The Lead UI Angular Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing user interface components using Angular, ensuring a seamless user experience in our banking applications. This role requires strong architectural skills, a deep understanding of the banking domain, and the ability to lead a team of developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Dallas, TX / Pittsburgh, PA is $120k - $130k/year & benefits (see below). 

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable, and robust front-end architecture for banking applications using Angular.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and implement engaging user experiences.
  • Ensure software quality through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to best practices.
  • Develop and maintain design systems and component libraries to ensure consistency across applications.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, recommending improvements to the development process and technology stack.
  • Work closely with back-end developers to integrate APIs and other services, ensuring smooth data flow and interaction.
  • Analyze project requirements and provide technical solutions to complex problems within the banking domain.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the overall technology strategy of the organization.

Requirements:

You are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in front-end development, with at least 3 years in a lead or architect role.
  • Proven experience with Angular (latest version experience highly preferred), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Strong knowledge or experience in micro frontend architecture.
  • Strong understanding of banking and financial services, including regulations and compliance standards.
  • Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development principles.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, JIRA).
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience in integrating front-end applications with back-end services.
  • Proficient in version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with state management libraries (e.g., NgRx, Akita).
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jasmine, Karma, Protractor).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
