The OpportunityOur client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in building an innovative Carbon Planning platform that helps global enterprises power emissions reduction. This platform serves some of the world's most recognizable companies, representing over $1T in market value, helping them reduce risks, save costs, protect revenues, and manage emissions aligned with business objectives and sustainability goals. What you'll be doing
Drive the development of core systems that power the platform's Planning, Scenario Modeling, and Analytics capabilities
Execute the full software development lifecycle; technical analysis and design, development, and unit test phases
Identify, deliver, and drive improvements and innovations within the software
Work across the stack to successfully deliver value to customers
Become a subject matter expert in travel and expense data and planning software systems
Provide technical leadership and share knowledge, for instance, through code reviews, pairing, ADRs, and presentations
Your qualifications and experienceMust haves
Online availability during their collaboration hours: 9am - 1:30pm Eastern Time
Hands-on experience with database-centric applications
Expertise in SQL - Example interview question: "Given a sales table, write a query to find the top three products with the highest total revenue and the associated revenue."
Expertise in TypeScript - Example interview question: "Write a function that accepts a list of book IDs, fetches the details for each, and returns the results sorted by title."
Experience leading a project, team, or initiative - Example interview question: "Tell me about a time when the scope changed on a project you were leading. What decisions did you have to make?"
Ability to debug hard problems from the browser all the way down to the database
