We are looking for a Frontend Software Developer to join our API Platform squad, where you will support Lightspeed’s Hospitality product group on the mission to expand our reach into new markets and countries while enhancing our advanced hospitality commerce platform. 

For this role, you will join the team focused on developing a highly stable Lightspeed API Platform. We aim to simplify and automate the entire process for our partners to build integrations seamlessly with our product. The API Platform squad always ensures up-to-date API docs, provides the tooling for collecting API usage insights, and builds a self-serve management portal for our partners.

You will join a healthy and collaborative team, continuously improving our engineering practices and delivering state-of-the-art technology, all while keeping it fun. Above all, your work will change the way the world experiences hospitality.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Working alongside some of the most brilliant minds in the industry, you will contribute to the omnichannel product by building new features and creative workflows;
• Reporting to the Team Lead of Development and having frequent interactions with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Platform Teams;
• Designing and creating a beautiful, elegant, and functional partner’s web portal from scratch;
• Taking part in daily agile ceremonies, brainstorming innovative ideas that challenge the status quo, and implementing solutions;
• Acting as an advocate for the highest code quality and ownership while contributing to the health of the infrastructure;
• Raising the bar and elevating your team by sharing knowledge and best practices while always seeking improvement and progress.

What you'll be bringing to the team: 

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript and CSS-in-JS;
• Knowledge of React.js, Next.js, or similar technologies;
• Knowledge of GraphQL or RestAPI and designing APIs;
• Solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and solutions;
• Experience developing in a back-end for frontend layer;
• Familiarity with writing tests (e2e using Cypress) and ensuring the highest coding standards;
• Familiarity with Dockers;
• Communication skills in English. 

Even better if you have, but not necessary:

• Experience in the development of mobile-first applications;
• Familiarity with modern cloud infrastructures;
• A keen eye for UI/UX design;
• Experience in working in an Agile development environment.
