Our IT team partners with the business to propose innovative solutions and collaborate internationally to deliver services. We closely partner with our Company’s R&D to provide innovative solutions and enable new products and capabilities. We are seeking a technical lead for Trial Site Monitoring and Engagement products within our Trial and Site Management product line to drive technical change and contribute to product roadmaps in collaboration with R&D and other orgs.

The IT Technical lead is empowered and responsible for:

  • Technical Leadership and Design: Lead the technical design and architecture of new applications and features, ensuring scalability and maintainability. Gain a deep understanding of business processes, systems, and data related to the Trial and Site Management product line to ensure technical feasibility and optimal user experience.
  • Development and Code Quality: Build user-friendly interfaces and robust backend systems using React, TypeScript, and related technologies. Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices while facilitating knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Collaboration and Relationship Management: Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and the Enterprise Architect team to define and refine requirements, ensuring efficient delivery of business solutions.
  • DevOps and Infrastructure Optimization: Work with DevOps teams to deploy applications, monitor performance, and optimize infrastructure for enhanced reliability.
  • Continuous Learning and Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, sharing insights with the team to drive innovation and improve development processes.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Strong experience in full-stack development, with a solid focus on React and TypeScript
  • Proven experience in leading development teams and influencing technical direction.
  • In-depth knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end technologies (Node.js or databases).
  • Proficient in state management libraries such as Redux and MobX.
  • Skilled in DevOps practices and familiar with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Experience in Agile teams, with knowledge of the Scrum framework, and a strong understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical and business audiences, with proven ability to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in diverse environments, both with and without formal authority, and a commitment to staying updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or regulated industry.
