Project Overview:

We are assisting a Department of Defense (DoD) health IT program in modernizing 25+ legacy Ext.js applications into React.js. Our internal team has developed an AI-powered tool to automate the conversion process, and we need a React.js Developer to validate, test, and refine the resulting output.

This role is focused on reviewing and correcting AI-generated React code, ensuring functional alignment with the legacy system. It is ideal for candidates experienced in React who can work independently and ensure technical soundness in a compliance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and validate AI-generated React.js code converted from Ext.js
  • Debug and resolve functional issues to ensure output meets original application behavior
  • Develop and execute tests to confirm performance, accessibility, and functionality
  • Collaborate with internal team members and government stakeholders in an Agile environment
  • Apply secure coding and accessibility best practices appropriate for DoD and healthcare systems
  • Contribute to documentation and process improvements for the migration tool and QA steps

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship and active DoD Secret Clearance or DoD Public Trust (AFMED-compatible)
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science or Information Systems – or five (5) years of programming experience
  • Two (2) years of experience in each of the following: React TypeScript, Ext JS, .NET Framework with C#, XML, JSON, SQL, HTML, and Object-Oriented Design
  • Two (2) years of application experience with: roles and authentication, user-defined functions, structured reporting, dynamic form generation, MVC frameworks, and APIs
  • Strong debugging and testing skills in React environments
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AFMED, MHS GENESIS, or other Military Health Systems
  • Familiarity with Ext.js legacy architecture and migration patterns
  • Understanding of DoD compliance frameworks (HIPAA, FISMA)
  • Experience with Git, Jira, and automated testing tools
  • Previous experience aligning to DoD labor categories (e.g., Web Developer)
