We are on the lookout for a Senior Node.js Engineer.This role would place you in a highly - energized environment with some of the most hardworking, creative individuals in the industry where you would be inspired to share your years of experience along with contributing to our projects with the existing teams in Symphony.
What would be your responsibilities if you join us?
Work as part of the team developing applications and services using Agile development methods;
Write well designed, testable, reusable, and efficient code;
Solve technical problems of high scope and complexity;
Work with databases, external network services, and message queueing (pub/sub) systems;
Write detailed and understandable technical documentation;
Recognize and address web security requirements;
Analyze and estimate client requirements;
Contribute to team and organizational improvements in process and infrastructure;
Collaborate with front-end developers;
Have regular and up-to-date reporting to the team lead, service delivery manager, and/or client;
Mentorship of other developers and interns (if any);
Assist the recruitment team in performing technical interviews.
There are some tech requirements that will make you stand out:
6+ years of proven Node.js programming experience and Node.js frameworks.
Experience in writing and consuming REST services
Experience in writing the unit tests
Curiosity about design patterns, SOLID, and other programming concepts and principles
Knowledge of SCM systems (Git preferred)
Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
Experience in working with cloud providers; AWS (preferred), Azure of GCP is a plus
