The Role

We are seeking a talented Senior React Developer with a strong UI/UX design mindset. This role goes beyond coding—it’s about shaping thoughtful, elegant user experiences that work seamlessly across modern browsers. You’ll be central to driving the evolution of our Zutec Cloud App, working closely with design, product, and backend teams to deliver clean, scalable, and intuitive web features.

This is a high-impact role ideal for a self-driven engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and can translate complex user requirements into beautiful, responsive interfaces.

Requirements

What are we looking for?

• Lead the development of new features and UI components in our React-based Zutec Cloud App.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to bring Figma prototypes to life with high fidelity.
• Own the end-to-end implementation of UI features—from wireframe to deployment.
• Establish and uphold React best practices, modular architecture, and maintainable codebases.
• Ensure design consistency, responsiveness, accessibility, and browser compatibility.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in peer reviews.
• Actively contribute to design system evolution and improve UI consistency across the platform.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize for speed, responsiveness, and usability.
• Proactive improvement of wire frames while developing to maximise user delight, in collaboration with Product.  

The ideal candidate will:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with modern JavaScript, React, and web development.
• Deep understanding of functional components, hooks, and state management.
• Proven track record of building accessible, pixel-perfect web interfaces from design tools like Figma.
• Strong grasp of responsive design principles and CSS methodologies.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data flows.
• Solid understanding of front-end build pipelines code splitting, and lazy loading.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library).
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally. 

Desirable (Bonus) Skills:

• Experience with component libraries or building design systems (e.g., Storybook).
• Familiarity with performance profiling, Lighthouse audits, and telemetry.
• Exposure to field-based enterprise applications or construction tech tools.
• Experience with TypeScript and monorepo management (e.g., Nx, Turborepo).
• Contributions to open source or tech writing/blogging.
