The Role

At Gapstars, our goal is to fuel growth for highly ambitious tech companies with world-class tech talent. If you are an experienced and ambitious Senior Software Engineer - React.js with strong programming fundamentals and the ability to adopt new frameworks as needed we want to hear from you.

As a Software Engineer - React.js you will be responsible for writing clean, modular, and testable code that adheres to best practices in web development. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to build scalable and maintainable solutions that deliver a high level of performance and user experience.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience in a JavaScript development role.
• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6 / ES7) and React.js (Hooks, Context API, and other recent concepts we can consider).
• Experience with middleware such as Redux-Thunk and Redux-Saga.
• Solid understanding of the Agile methodology i.e. Story point estimation, refinement, sprint planning, retrospective, sprint demos
• Highly skilled in working with customer-focused React apps.
• Experience in fine-tuning and improving the performance of apps.
• Excellent knowledge of testing mechanisms for front-end apps
• Proficient understanding of version control systems (Git and GitHub)
• Experience with REST APIs
• Strong ability to split up bigger projects into smaller workable items and estimate task/project runtime.
• Self-starting mentality, being proactive and ability to navigate through ambiguous environments
• Should have an eye for UI and UX to achieve the best user experience.
• Understanding of CI/CD principles.

Nice to have;

• Experience with Next.js / Server Side Rendering
• Experience with TypeScript
• Experience with backend development.
• Experience working with other Frontend stacks such as AngularJS and Vue.js
