Job Summary

We’re seeking an experienced Engineering Manager (Frontend) to lead a team focused on building high-performance, CMS-driven web applications. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in collaborative environments, is comfortable guiding technical decisions, and has hands-on expertise with headless CMS platforms like Hygraph, as well as modern frontend frameworks such as Next.js. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions for a high-impact initiative: The Sphere project — a groundbreaking immersive experience platform. Basic familiarity with AWS and the ability to manage remote teams in a fast-paced, agile environment is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of frontend engineers, ensuring high-quality output and innovation.

  • Oversee development of scalable web applications using React/Next.js and headless CMS solutions.

  • Guide technical decisions, best practices, and architectural patterns for CMS integrations.

  • Collaborate with backend engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver performant digital products.

  • Manage workflows, code quality, testing processes, and deployment standards.

  • Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure with AWS (basic knowledge required).

  • Align and work within Pacific Time Zone to meet project and stakeholder needs.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.

  • Expertise in React/Next.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript development.

  • Proven experience with Hygraph or similar headless CMS platforms (Sanity, Strapi, Contentful).

  • Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).

  • Experience leading remote engineering teams and working in agile environments.

  • Strong communication, project leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
