About the role

We are looking for a Lead React Developer to join our Engineering department and lead the React team. As a Lead React Developer you will be responsible for leading the team, implementing sections of functionality to our enterprise level platform, reporting to the Head of Frontend Engineering. You will take the responsibility to deliver high standards and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

Things you will be regularly working on include:

• Migrate existing backbone components to React JS
• Add new features using React js.
• Write, test, document and maintain code for existing and new functionality in our UI
• Integrate with external services
• Investigate new technologies
• Lead a React focused front end team
• Lead and organize the team under the Scrum framework, converting user requirements into engineering tasks
• Collaborate with other departments such as Support, other engineering teams, Devops team
• Help with Hiring and onboarding of new members

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software development experience having a focus on front-end & back-end development.
• 3+ years experience in ReactJS
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
