Job Description

Job Title: Manager, React Engineering

Salary: $150,000 per year

Blend360 is seeking a seasoned Software Engineering Manager with a rich background in hands-on programming and extensive experience in retail and E-commerce. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of front-end programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and be proficient with frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

A key part of this role involves expertise in A/B testing, developing effective user personas, defining team KPIs and metrics, and collaborating closely with marketing and merchandising teams. Proficiency with JSON, AJAX, and JQuery, along with experience with web development and optimization tools such as Monetate and Optimizely, is a must. We seek a strong leader who can efficiently drive the development process and manage a dynamic engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and lead a team of software engineers, setting clear expectations, defining engineering best practices, and facilitating collaboration.
  2. Participate in all stages of software development, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  3. Implement and maintain web applications, focusing on user experience and responsiveness.
  4. Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams, developing effective user personas and customer journey maps.
  5. Conduct regular A/B testing and optimize website interfaces.
  6. Define, monitor, and refine team KPIs and metrics to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  7. Translate business requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture.
  8. Balance the competing needs of multiple projects, prioritizing tasks effectively.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as a Software Engineering Manager.
  2. Strong hands-on programming skills with front-end languages, frameworks, and libraries.
  3. Expertise in A/B testing, persona creation, and establishing team KPIs and metrics.
  4. Familiarity with web development tools and languages, including JSON, AJAX, and JQuery.
  5. Previous experience in retail and E-commerce environments.
  6. Proficiency with personalization and experimentation tools such as Monetate and Optimizely.
  7. Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work cross-functionally.

Additional Information:

  1. This is a full-time position requiring a 45+ hour workweek.
  2. The role requires on-site presence five days a week in Houston, TX.
  3. A competitive relocation package is available for out-of-state candidates.
