ManpowerGroup, on behalf of its client, a fast-growing travel services company, is seeking a experience Front-End Developer (React) to join their Development Team.

Workplace Location: Athens OR Thessaloniki with Remote Work Options (up to 90%)

What you will be doing:

You will be working on the Product Development team, and you will be part of is responsible for the development, support and growth of one of Greece’s leading online ferry tickets’ booking websites and you will have the opportunity to work on a highly optimized architecture, spanning across multiple technologies and vendors.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Writing performance optimized and production ready code
  • Providing technical support for all issues related to the website’s front end
  • Optimizing existing code base where needed in terms of efficiency, performance, and code clarity.
  • Auditing and contributing to the optimization of the UI/UX as well as implement the necessary changes
  • Collaborating with the web designer and contribute with your technical expertise on the design of the website
  • Technically responsible of the projects you take on and choose the best method or technology to make them successful

Requirements

  • A University or College Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering
  • At least 3 years of front-end web development experience, writing production ready code in a JavaScript technology stack
  • Strong knowledge of React and Next.js frameworks with experience in server-side rendering implementations
  • Ability to write clean, accessible and responsive HTML5, CSS3, JS code that scores high in Pagespeed Insights and GTMetrix tools
  • Strong knowledge of optimization best practises in terms of performance, UX and SEO
  • Experience in working with API backends
  • Experience with git version control system, unit testing and code deployment methodologies
  • Familiarity with prototyping / mockup software like Figma or Adobe XD in terms of converting static mockups to full blown website templates
