RenoFi is on a mission to make home renovations possible for every homeowner! As a Frontend Engineer at RenoFi, you'll work with the entire product team to craft experiences which help homeowners throughout their renovation journey. You will not just implement specifications, but get to be part of the entire product development cycle, including discovery, prototyping and testing. In a nutshell you will discover and build groundbreaking software solutions for the $800 billion dollar US home renovation market.
Be an active participant in the entire product development process, from brainstorming product innovations to making them a reality. You will be expected to utilize your entire range of skills to help build the best experience. Your role will be instrumental in continuing to improve and optimize our existing product line helping internal users and homeowners.
You'll shape how we test and optimize existing features, and positively impact and engage with the rest of the company. You care about user experience and interface design, understand the complex nature of changing web/mobile technologies and have crafted solutions for both.
Our team is focused on crafting an experience that makes the complex process of renovation accessible and easy to understand. You will help shape the future of home renovation improvement by conceiving, developing and shipping highly impactful UIs and UXs.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

• Collaborate with team members in Product, Design and QA
• Be an active voice in shaping our product rather than just executing tasks
• Test your code using code and no-code test frameworks
• Identify and resolve issues using Sentry / LogRocket
• Identify tech debt and propose improvement plans to our tech stack
• Optimize for performance
• Participate in on-call rotations as required by the team lead
• Participate in the shared team goals, eg: provide feedback through PR process
• Be an active, inclusive participant and not a passive listener as part of our agile ceremonies

ABOUT YOU

• 4+ years of frontend experience 
• 2+ years working with React
• Experience with GraphQL/Apollo is a plus
• Worked with Styled Components
• Experienced with Git and CI/CD tools such as Netlify
• Experienced with react testing libraries & writing unit / E2E tests; “no code” tools like Rainforest are a bonus
• Experience working and collaborating in distributed teams is a plus
• Previous startup or agile product team experience is a huge plus
• Strong communication skills in English
• You are humble, open-minded and easy to work with
• You are driven by curiosity and passion to deliver business value and engineering excellence

LOCATION

• We are a fully distributed team; you can work from the comfort of your home, co-working space, etc. We leave this up to you! We do require you to be in a quiet setting with an internet connection that can support video when joining team calls.
• For this specific role, we are seeking applicants with working hours in GMT+1 to GMT+3
