Senior Mobile Engineer. Remote.
About the role:
Own the mobile experience powering the next-gen crypto experience. As our Senior Mobile Engineer, you’ll build groundbreaking mobile apps that empower millions to seamlessly trade, earn, and interact with crypto, effortlessly.
You’ll lead the design, development, and delivery of our React Native and Expo-based applications, shaping how users engage with digital finance. From concept to release, your expertise and decisions will directly influence our roadmap, define our product, and enhance the crypto journey for thousands of users.
Be the first dedicated Mobile Engineer at ZND, establishing mobile standards, practices, and architecture from the ground up. You will collaborate closely with our Head of Tech and experienced engineers, yet have ample freedom to set direction, innovate, and take ownership of the mobile domain.
Join us remotely—you can be located anywhere within the CET time zone, as our work is 100% remote. This is a full-time position.

What you will be doing:
- Design, implement, and enhance mobile functionalities using React Native and Expo, ensuring a stellar user experience
- Participate in all development phases - from requirements gathering and architecture to implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring
- Contribute actively to architecture discussions, crafting clear, strategic architecture decision records
- Own engineering objectives and tackle complex challenges by utilizing cutting-edge React Native, Expo, and Typescript best practices
- Work closely with engineers, designers, and product stakeholders, navigating varying detail levels with clarity
- Conduct detailed code reviews, ensuring maintainability, performance, and adherence to high-quality standards
- Offer technical guidance, troubleshooting, and mentorship to foster a thriving, collaborative team environment
- Continuously improve codebase documentation, developer guides, and user manuals to empower efficient collaboration
What do you need:
- 5+ years of experience in developing mobile applications (native or hybrid) + 3 years of web development
- 3+ years of experience developing React Native applications
- 3+ years of commercial experience in React
- Solid understanding of Expo
- Strong proficiency in REST APIs and WebSockets
- 1+ years of commercial experience in NextJs
- Great knowledge of React, NextJs, Typescript
- Experience integrating mobile features such as Push Notifications, Background Loading, and Offline Content Storage.
- Proven ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems
- Self-driven and responsible with the ability to independently work with little or no help
- Strong communication skills (good level of English)
