This role is about:
In the Open Banking Team, you will be part of a team of experts, their sole mission is to ensure that our Banking services are running smoothly and solving real life problems. The Open Banking team will kick-start our Open Banking journey - As part of this team you are expected to solve problems with sustainable solutions and with scalability in mind. This role can be in one of our offices in Frankfurt, Limassol, Amsterdam, Vilnius or London, it can also be remote anywhere in Europe.
You will:
- Design, develop, and maintain frontend components and features using Next.js, React, and other modern web technologies.
- Collaborate with designers to implement responsive and visually appealing user interfaces that enhance the overall user experience.
- Work closely with backend developers to integrate frontend components with server-side APIs and databases.
- Work towards a launch of a new product which will generate new verticals to the company.
- Optimize application performance and scalability through code optimization, caching strategies, and performance monitoring.
- Write clean, modular, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to ensure code quality and consistency.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in front-end development and share knowledge with the team.
What we need:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience in frontend web development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and frontend frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Next.js).
- Strong experience with testing (Unit testing, end to end testing, Jest, React testing library)
- Strong experience with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles.
- Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques and browser compatibility issues.
- Strong familiarity with Security practices in Frontend development.
- Strong familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and awareness of CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Docker
- Stay informed about emerging tools and technologies to enhance the frontend capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of test automation projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
