The Feature Engineering organization is looking for an individual to join our software development team focusing on Shopify Subscriptions in Medellin, Colombia. This individual must have a broad understanding of technology systems, a thoughtful approach to communication, and understands how elegant software can contribute to business outcomes.
A successful candidate for this role will possess strong and professional experience working in languages and frameworks such as Next.js, and TypeScript, ability to turn complex business requirements into elegant and maintainable code, experience creating stable and reliable integrations between separate business systems, and enjoy making a measurable impact on the business and consistently seek to drive business value through technological solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a TypeScript application leveraging Nest.js and Next.js frameworks.
- Implement and optimize integrations with Shopify APIs.
- Work closely with other developers, designers, and product teams to deliver a seamless user experience.
- Optimize the application for performance and scalability
- Ensure high quality code through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
- Debug and resolve issues related to Shopify API interactions, frontend and backend performance.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies in Nest.js, Next.js, TypeScript, and Shopify development.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience developing in Nest.js, Next.js, React.js or similar frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
- Experience with Shopify API and developing custom Shopify apps.
- Solid understanding of server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and incremental static regeneration (ISR) in Next.js.
- Proficiency in CSS-in-JS solutions (e.g., Tailwind CSS, Styled Components).
- Strong understanding of authentication mechanisms, such as OAuth, JWT, and session management.
- Experience with state management using tools like Redux, React Context, or Zustand.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and deployment strategies (Vercel, AWS, etc.).
