THE ROLE INVOLVES:

You will be working in our customer’s Financial Reporting block, which, amongst other tools, works with NetSuite (accounting software).

We are seeking for a talented TypeScript Engineer with affinity for the financial industry (accounting side).

We don't expect you to be university schooled in finance, but having some background or experience in the field is appreciated, as you would be working on further developing in NetSuite, which uses a dialect of Typescript for scripting. Having knowledge of Typescript is therefore a must and having some financial industry knowledge would be included there too.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software solutions for finance applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical expertise.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in TypeScript.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues, providing quick and effective resolution.
• Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and other team activities.
• Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and apply them to our applications.

TECHNICAL PLAYGROUND:

• 3+ years of relevant experience with TypeScript.
• Financial industry affinity – experience on the accounting side is a big plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business and technical requirements
• Engineering experience with NetSuite (Scripting).
• Experience working with REST API's and connectivity to other systems.
• Proven knowledge with building automated unit/technical tests to test your code.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

NICE TO HAVE: 

• Awareness of critical Agile concepts and principles.
• A demonstrated record of achievement in large technical (migration) projects.
• Ability to keep up with software and cloud development trends and innovation.
• Understanding of financial services and risk management in general.
• Relevant Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree.

SOFT SKILLS:

• Fluent English, both written and verbal.
• Strong engineering instinct (do the right thing), a deep understanding of computer science.
• Strong interpersonal and assertive communication skills, great team member.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Desire to continuously learn and improve in a complex, rapidly evolving environment.
