As our Senior Front End Engineer – React / Typescript / Node.js, you will take ownership of complex, modern web applications and be responsible for their full lifecycle—from architecture and development to performance and optimization. You will collaborate across engineering, product, and design teams to deliver scalable, high-impact software used by millions. You will define standards, mentor engineers, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the highest level of code quality and technical excellence.
This position will sit onsite in Grapevine, TX 5 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Own the architecture and delivery of scalable web applications using React, Modern Frameworks, and TypeScript
- Design and maintain infrastructure for full stack solutions using Node.js, Express, and AWS CDK/Terraform
- Lead the creation and maintenance of shared design systems, component libraries, and Storybook documentation
- Develop and maintain internal tools and shared UI libraries as NPM packages across multiple applications
- Define and enforce coding standards, perform code reviews, and guide the technical growth of other engineers
- Architect CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Gitlab CI/CD) and automate deployments for frontend and backend services
- Collaborate closely with product and design teams using tools like Figma to deliver pixel-perfect UIs
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues, error logs, and operational concerns in production systems
- Manage technical documentation for features, workflows, and infrastructure setups
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in React, TypeScript, and JavaScript development
- Strong expertise with full stack JavaScript development and modern JS frameworks such as Next.js or Remix
- Proven experience building and scaling applications using technologies such as Node.js and Express
- Experience managing infrastructure using AWS CDK, Terraform, and cloud-native services
- Solid experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, and modern testing practices
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control (Git), and modern JS build tooling (Webpack, Yarn/NPM)
- Ability to independently own projects end-to-end and make architecture decisions aligned with product goals
- • Strong understanding of REST APIs, frontend performance, accessibility, and responsive design
• Experience leading feature delivery cycles in collaboration with cross-functional teams
As a senior member of our team, you’ll need to:
- Be highly self-directed and capable of delivering production-ready code with minimal guidance
- Operate with a bias for action and take initiative to solve problems across the stack
- Lead by example in code quality, documentation, and peer mentorship
- Translate ambiguous problems into actionable solutions with attention to performance and scalability
- Collaborate with design, backend, and DevOps teams to improve developer workflows and product outcomes
- Have a strong sense of ownership over application uptime, security, and customer experience
You’ll stand out if you have:
- A history of progression from front-end or full-stack developer to technical lead or senior roles
- Experience modernizing legacy platforms (e.g., migrating from jQuery to React)
- Background in eCommerce or large SaaS platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud
- Experience deploying multi-app ecosystems or monorepos across shared infrastructure
- Familiarity with payment gateway integrations such as Stripe
- Prior experience building internal tools or technical hiring systems
