On behalf of FORJ, GT is looking for a React Native Developer interested in building the future of digital learning and community engagement!
Forj is a US-based growth-stage SaaS company with a mission to transform the way modern communities of practice interact and learn.
Their platform, Journey by Forj, is purpose-built for associations and professional networks to enhance member experience, increase membership, grow revenue, and realize impact. This product combines members’ expertise and culture of interaction to facilitate networking, fuel conversations, and generate learning content to elevate member experience and value proposition. Serving over 300 clients today, they're gearing up to more than double their customer base in the next 3 years!
Their white-label mobile app, available on iOS and Android, is a critical touchpoint for customers’ communities - and a key differentiator in the market.
We’re seeking a Mobile Developer to take ownership of our React Native app. This is a unique opportunity to modernize and maintain a core product while setting the foundation for future mobile innovation. Initially, the focus will be on stability, bug fixes, and modernization; new features will follow in time.
You’ll work alongside a collaborative team of Ruby on Rails engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver a reliable, polished mobile experience.
Take ownership of our existing React Native mobile app, bringing consistency, performance, and polish.
Maintain the app and implement regular bug fixes and updates to meet Android/iOS platform standards.
Refactor and modernize legacy code for long-term maintainability.
Collaborate with backend engineers (Ruby on Rails) to integrate and optimize API interactions.
Translate Figma designs into responsive, accessible mobile UI/UX.
Prepare the app for the addition of future features, such as video learning and quizzes.
Deploy updates via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
3–5 years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining React Native apps for both iOS and Android.
Strong experience debugging and upgrading legacy codebases.
Solid understanding of mobile deployment processes for both platforms.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, especially those built with Ruby on Rails (bonus if you can read some Ruby).
Proven ability to transform design mockups (Figma) into elegant, usable mobile interfaces.
Self-starter with a sense of ownership and a focus on delivering high-quality, maintainable code.
Experience working on white-label or multi-tenant mobile apps.
Familiarity with video playback, interactive learning tools, or quizzes within mobile apps.
Background in agile SaaS development environments.
