Opportunity:As a Software Development Engineer III (Frontend) at Hiver, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical landscape, influencing our product roadmap, and guiding our team while contributing to our vibrant company culture. With our customer base expanding rapidly and processing over 5 million emails daily for thousands of active users, you will be at the forefront of creating and enhancing the user experience. In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of highly skilled engineers while providing critical technical direction to our front-end development efforts. You will also have the exciting opportunity to tackle intricate technical challenges, including optimizing our architecture to handle the surging email volume and establishing a framework to monitor and enhance the performance of our front-end systems.

What you will be working on:

• Constructing and maintaining interactive and responsive frontend systems that cater to various form factors. Your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of front-end development, from coding to deployment.
• Developing next-generation web applications with a strong focus on reusability. This phase of the project is in its early stages, and you will lay the foundational groundwork across multiple facets.
• Contributing to the definition and enhancement of engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
• Collaborating closely with designers and other stakeholders to craft dynamic and captivating user experiences while embracing emerging standards.

What we are looking for:

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in building frontend systems.
• Proficiency in Web Fundamentals, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Experience with VueJS is essential. Familiarity with SASS, Tailwind CSS, Material UI, or similar modern CSS solutions/frameworks is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of design patterns and best practices for crafting clean, lint-free, maintainable, and reusable code.
• A solid foundation in Computer Science, with a strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Proficiency in frontend tooling and a firm understanding of best deployment practices are required.
• An architectural mindset - the ability to balance the need for a swift time to market with a consideration for long-term viability. You will continuously evaluate trade-offs between short-term gains and long-term consequences, making informed decisions about the optimal approach.
• Exceptional analytical and debugging skills, allowing you to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.


Additionally, it would be advantageous if you have experience in:
• Building Outlook add-ins.
• Backend (full-stack) development.
• Your expertise in these areas would be considered a plus.
