Job Description

React Native Engineers at Bilue are responsible for building high-quality, natively compiled mobile applications for both iOS and Android from a single codebase using React Native.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with software engineers, designers, product managers and clients in an agile environment 
• Design, build and maintain high performance reusable and reliable code for both the iOS and Android platforms using React Native
• Build pixel perfect user interfaces and leverage native API’s for deep backend integrations
• Help maintain code quality, organisation and automation through user testing and peer reviews
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders confidently and effectively

Qualifications

• 6+ years of commercial experience creating in-depth, large scale mobile applications using React Native
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence dealing with external stakeholders
• An ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Familiar with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Experience optimising mobile performance, particularly with specific performance metrics
• Proficient with developer tools and debugging techniques
• Experience with Git and Atlassian tools
• Expert knowledge of CI/CD approaches and tools
• Expert knowledge and experience with the following: react hooks, react life cycles, redux/redux dev tools, JSX, CSS in Javascript libraries
• Previous experience working in an Agile environment
• Strong knowledge and experience using JavaScript and TypeScript programming languages 
• Native iOS or Android development experience development would be a huge bonus!

Candidates must be located in either Sydney or Melbourne and have unrestricted work rights.
