This position is responsible for analyzing, developing, testing, and supporting highly complex in-house data coding application software and services in AWS, React and Postgres. These software applications and ETL processes must be developed and maintained with high-quality standards and minimal defects. These data coding/ETL software applications are used within Nielsen Ad Intel business to code and analyze advertisement related data such as: Television, Radio, Digital, Social, Search, Press, Cinema, Outdoor and other minor media. The Software Engineer is ultimately responsible for delivering technical solutions: starting from the project's onboard until post launch support and including development, testing and user acceptance. It is expected to coordinate, support and work with multiple delocalized project teams in multiple regions. As a React frontend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining scalable and modular user interfaces using ReactJS.
Responsibilities
Frontend Architecture:
Work closely with architects and other developers to contribute to the overall frontend architecture and design decisions.
Ensure optimal user experience especially focusing on effective data entry.
Integrate AI into the users workflows.
ReactJS Development:
Develop responsive and high-performance user interfaces using ReactJS.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with backend developers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of frontend components.
Communicate effectively with team members to understand requirements, provide updates, and troubleshoot issues.
Code Quality and Testing:
Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following best practices.
Conduct thorough testing of developed components to ensure reliability and quality.
Performance Optimization:
Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the frontend code.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Version Control and CI/CD:
Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage source code.
Work with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the deployment process.
Stay Updated on Industry Trends:
Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in frontend development.
Key Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in developing scalable and modular user interfaces using ReactJS, minimum 3 years.
Strong understanding of frontend technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
Experience with Typescript.
Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration with backend services.
Good understanding of version control systems, especially Git.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Must have a CAN-DO attitude
Strong understanding of SOLID principles.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align organization on decisions
Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply
Utilizes team collaboration to create innovative solutions efficiently
Expert ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to solve complex design and coding problems.
Experience with Amazon cloud solutions is a plus
