About the Opportunity
We’re on the hunt for a talented React Native Mobile App Developer who thrives on tackling both innovative engineering challenges and seamless maintenance tasks. In this role, you’ll take the lead in crafting cutting-edge user interfaces and features, while ensuring top-notch quality through automated unit and integration testing. This is a fully remote opportunity where you can be based in India, Philippines or Vietnam.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Application Design and Development:
- Analyze user needs and translate them into app features and functionalities.
- Use React Native framework to design and build cross-platform applications for iOS and Android.
- Design and develop app architecture, considering performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Write clean, well-documented code using TypeScript and relevant programming languages
- Implement user interfaces (UI) following design specifications and UX best practices.
- Integrate with backend APIs and services to enable data synchronization and functionality.
- Ensure a user-friendly experience by following best practices for navigation, interaction, and visual hierarchy.
- Optimize app performance for different device types and screen sizes.
2. Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough testing on various devices to identify and resolve bugs and performance issues.
- Write unit tests and automated tests to ensure application stability and reliability.
- Collaborate with QA teams to address testing feedback and improve app quality.
3. Maintenance and Updates:
- Monitor app performance and address user feedback to implement necessary updates and bug fixes.
- Stay updated with new mobile development technologies, frameworks, and security best practices to maintain application relevance.
4. Collaboration:
- Work closely with product managers to understand project requirements and feature priorities.
- Communicate effectively with designers, backend developers, and other team members to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements
Who We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor's Degree: BSc in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Prior experience working as a mobile application developer, or in a similar job role.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in at least one primary mobile development language (TypeScript).
- Mobile Development Frameworks: Must be proficient with mobile development frameworks especially React Native.
- UI/UX Design Principles: Skilled with design principles for mobile applications, including user interface best practices and accessibility standards.
- Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC): Knowledgeable with Agile methodologies and the development process.
- API Integration: Ability to integrate with external APIs to access data and functionalities.
- Database Management: Understanding of database concepts and experience with mobile database technologies.
- Portfolio: Compilation all the previous mobile applications created and released.
- Problem-solver: A problem-solving approach to working as a mobile app developer.
- Team Player: Ability to work as a team player across various verticals of the business.
