This is an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Front End React Developer to take a leading role in building high-quality, production-ready React/NextJS single-page applications for some of the world's most exciting brands. You'll drive forward code quality, unit testing, accessibility, and performance, contributing significantly to an Agile development team. With full end-to-end ownership from idea to delivery, you'll be instrumental in creating modular layouts, reusable code, and integrating with diverse systems, all while mentoring junior developers and staying at the forefront of evolving front-end technologies.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Creating prototypes and high-quality production-ready React/NextJS front-end single page applications
  • Driving forward the quality – in code, unit testing, accessibility, performance, code reviews
  • Delivering on an Agile workstream of front-end developers on a project, contributing to daily stand-ups, sprint planning and estimates
  • Conversing confidently with technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Building modular layouts, reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Representing front-end in a client-facing capacity
  • Cooperating with design and marketing teams to gather and refine specifications and requirements for development
  • Being involved in existing and new integrations for the platform
  • Having full end-to-end ownership from idea to delivery, covering ongoing maintenance, expansion and scaling
  • Staying current with evolving standards and technologies, learning new skills as needed
  • Mentoring junior candidates

What we want from you:

  • Expertise in Modern Front-End Development: Strong commercial experience with React (including core concepts, state management like Redux/Flux, and NextJS for serverless/server-side development), TypeScript, and mastery of semantic HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Robust Testing & Quality Assurance: Extensive experience with unit, end-to-end, and regression testing (e.g., Jest, React-testing-libraries, Cypress), coupled with a deep understanding of front-end architecture best practices including performance optimization, accessibility, SEO, security, and usability.
  • Agile & Collaborative Workflow: Solid understanding and practical experience with Agile methodologies (story point estimation, sprint planning, etc.), continuous integration using GIT in large teams, and excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
  • Component-Driven Development & Mentorship: Proven experience in component development with Storybook and a track record of mentoring junior team members.
  • SPA & E-commerce Experience: Commercial experience working on Single Page Application (SPA) solutions, ideally within e-commerce, and proficiency in handling fluid responsive layouts and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Integration & Build Tool Proficiency: Experience integrating with various external, third-party systems and familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools (e.g., Grunt, Webpack).
  • Adaptability & Contribution: Willingness to contribute to both large, complex projects and smaller tasks as needed.

If you know some of this, even better:

  • Additional Commercial eCommerce platform experience – Magento/Hybris /Shopify
  • Experience of working with other CMS platforms such as AEM, Sitecore or SFCC
  • Any knowledge of Nodejs, Express, SQL, Lambda, AWS
  • Experience of working on Java/Node/C#/PHP projects would be beneficial
