We are looking for an experienced, smart, and creative individual to work in a primarily technical role. In this role you will be working within a high performing agile team alongside other Software Engineers, Test Engineers, Software Architects, DevOps Engineers and Business teams to shape and implement the technology and product deliverables that will drive forward our strategic initiatives.
You will be required to participate in all stages of the software product development life cycle. This may include analyzing wireframes, writing micro-frontends, consuming web services, utilizing design systems, participating in the requirement capturing process, writing clean React code, troubleshooting bugs, and running tests to improve frontend resilience and performance. 
Ideal candidates are engineers with at least 4 years of professional experience in the domain of frontend engineering with React.js. They will be expected to take on a senior role within the team, displaying the ability to lead technical discussions and deliver technical advice in a confident manner.  
We expect that you will be able to use any additional technological skills in your arsenal to improve the team's efficiency and problem-solving abilities while developing into a well-rounded engineer.

As part of our team, you will

• Be part of a kanban team that develops end-to-end well-structured and flexible architecture to support L&W products and services.

• Deliver high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code using React and related technologies to meet project requirements.

• Provide technical analysis for delivering new custom components that adhere to agreed corporate and product UX standards, design guidelines and UI best practices.

• Actively contribute to overall UI strategy for products and deliverables

• Proactively identify and address areas of material improvement, notably around UI performance and code complexity

• Maintain existing features, troubleshoot and bug-fixing, ensuring that all products and services have agreed levels of test coverage, in line with L&W requirements and standards (including security)

• Provide input regarding time estimates of software deliverables for planning purposes.

• Utilize your experience of Agile development processes, follow scrum ceremonies and responsibilities

Qualifications

• At least 4 years experience working as React.js developer.

• Understanding of React best practices and fundamental React principles.

• Excellent knowledge of general UX principles for web applications, including responsive and adaptive design principles;

• Proficient with latest versions of ECMAScript as well as HTM5L, and CSS3

• Server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS;

• Knowledge of React and common tools used in wider React ecosystem such as CRA, npm, Node.js, Babel etc. as well as common React dev tools such as Chrome’s React Developer Tools

• In-depth knowledge of RESTful APIs

• In-depth knowledge of git

• Experience in unit-testing & component testing tools such as Jest and RTL

Nice to have

• Working experience on Redux

• Very good understanding of SEO principles;

• Familiarity with MaterialUI v5, Storybook and Emotion libraries

• A basic understanding of general UX principles for web applications, including responsive and adaptive design principles.

• General understanding of the use of CI tools, Jenkins and Git (Bitbucket)

• Experience with Figma design tool would also be a plus.

• Domain knowledge is not required but having previously worked on a casino project would be ideal.
