Sr. React Developer

This role is part of our Experience & Engineering team in Germany. We combine technology and experience design to create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products, and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is digital experiences and communication that change perceptions and shape new behaviours to make a difference in the market.
JOB PURPOSE
As a Sr. React Developer, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of various e-commerce platforms, with a strong focus on headless architectures. If you have experience building modern web applications using React and understand how frontend development integrates with digital marketing tools, site management, and overall platform architecture, this could be a great opportunity for you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain headless e-commerce applications using React and modern frontend technologies;
- Contribute to the development of React components and common web technologies essential for building seamless multi-channel experiences;
- Build responsive and high performance web applications optimised for mobile, tablet, and desktop;
- Perform regular website testing to ensure functionality, including logging issues, detailing bugs and recommending improvements to PMs;
- Manage daily application updates, edits, changes, or asset uploads within our content management system;
- Work with PMs to support new business sales and pitches;
- Understand security/privacy principles and GPDR;
- Develop test plans and troubleshoot issues related to eCommerce;
- Assist with website conversion and analytics;
- Monitoring and managing website uptime and performance;
- Designing and testing pages on different browsers/devices/clients;
- Implement advanced debugging techniques and use browser developer tools.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Professional working proficiency in German and English language;
- 5+ years of experience with TypeScript and React.js with a strong understanding of modern frontend development practices;
- Hands-on experience with server-side rendering frameworks such as Next.js, or similar technologies;
- Strong knowledge of component-based architecture and common React libraries.
- Experience working with APIs, including RESTful and GraphQL, for data fetching and integration with backend services;
- Familiarity with headless CMS platforms and frontend frameworks for e-commerce solutions;
- General experience of building, launching and maintaining stores and general knowledge of the admin system;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with design teams;
- Development experience with responsive layouts for desktop, tablet and mobile;
- Experience implementing and debugging 3rd party integrations and building custom solutions where required;
- Thorough testing and debugging skills using browser developer tools, Jest, React Testing Library, and other external tools;
- Experience developing for accessibility, SEO, and performance optimization;
